
The SATREPS team from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) recently hosted a series of events featuring Prof. Shigekazu Kawashima, a professor of agricultural economics from Miyagi University, Japan.
On October 10th, a workshop titled “Mathematical Programming for Agricultural, Environmental, and Resource Economics” was held at the Multimedia Building Hybrid Room. The session brought together the internal SATREPS team to focus on advanced mathematical techniques and their application to optimizing agricultural practices, fostering collaborative discussions aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture.
On October 11th, Prof. Kawashima delivered a guest lecture on “Non-Market Valuation with R”, at Aula Sosek 3rd floor, to a large audience of students from the Agribusiness Study Programme. The lecture covered key analytical tools and methodologies for modern agribusiness practices, featuring interactive discussions that provided valuable insights into the complexities of agribusiness analysis.
This workshop and lecture series, held in collaboration under the SATREPS Project, reflects the SATREPS team and Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to expanding knowledge, strengthening international networks, and fostering collaboration in the field of agriculture.
